We recently had a client come to us looking for a unique project involving energy-efficient and soundproof student accommodation for Charles Sturt University. We knew we could help them find a modern and superior solution to suit their innovative design.
Read on to find out how we produced energy-efficient, soundproof windows for the student accommodation – and how we worked to fit with their tight timeline.
The Client
Modulexc is a Brisbane-based building company that creates innovative modular buildings on a large, commercial scale. After working with EE windows on a previous, the Directors of Modulexc chose EE Windows to supply the windows for large-scale modular student accommodation at Charles Sturt University, Port Macquarie.
The Challenge
Modulexc required quality, energy-efficient, and soundproof windows to suit their modular design. The windows needed to ensure that students could study in peace without the interruption of outside noise. To deliver this project, we were required to achieve volume glazing on a strict timeline.
What We Did
We assisted Modulexc in the design of the accommodation to ensure all aspects of our product were fit for purpose. We manufactured the windows in our factory to suit design specifications. By doing this, we ensured no time was wasted, and our windows were ready to go as soon as needed.
The Results
The project was delivered on time with EE Windows providing a product that comfortably achieved all acoustic and energy efficiency specifications.
Our client was extremely impressed we were able to design and supply windows on time. They were also impressed that the acoustic ratings achieved by the windows were the highest they had experienced.
“EE windows exceeded all expectations in the performance and supply of their product for the CSU Port Macquarie Student Accommodation Project.” – Modulexc Director, Wayne O’Brien.
